Hallo Allemaal,
Na ons vorige blog waarin we iets uitgebreider ingegaan zijn op de start van de DTS, nu een kort berichtje over week 47.
Hoogtepunt
Het eerste hoogtepunt is de afgelopen lesweek, God was duidelijk aan het werk in deze week die ging over identiteit. Het was mooi om te zien hoe studenten aangesproken werden. Ook een korte film die op youtube te bekijken is 'the butterfly circus' sprak mij persoonlijk erg aan. Kort gezegd gaat het erover dat wie of wat je ook bent, God kan je gebruiken voor het helpen of inspireren van anderen.
Dieptepunt
Afgelopen zondag ben ik (Jonathan) bij het volleyballen in de gymzaal behoorlijk door mijn enkel gegaan. Het werd meteen enorm dik en opgezwollen, en was ook behoorlijk pijnlijk. We zijn daarom dinsdag naar het ziekenhuis gegaan (2,5u rijden!!), voor een foto. Resultaat: gelukkig niet gebroken.
Mijn enkel doet nog veel pijn en dit betekent helaas dat ik niet voor de volle 100% kan doen wat ik normaal doe. Ook hierin moet ik een beetje leren loslaten, erg lastig voor mij om niet overal aan mee te kunnen doen.

Het hoogtepunt is het jeugdkamp dat op dit moment aan de gang is, 23 jongeren uit de omgeving zijn hier voor het kamp 'shockwave'. Het is gaaf om de DTS-studenten te zien uitstappen en hun enthousiasme te zien bij het draaien van dit kamp. Of ze nu in de keuken staan, worship leiden of spelletjes, ze zijn allemaal erg enthousiast en doen het met passie. Het doel is duidelijk, Jezus bekendmaken aan de jeugd van Nordland. Aan de inzet zal het in ieder geval niet liggen. Het is echt prachtig om te zien hoe dit handen en voeten krijgt in dit kamp!

After our previous blog, where we explained a bit more extensive how the DTS started, now a short blog about week 47
High
The first high is the last teachingweek, God was clearly working again this week, which handled about identity. It was really cool to see how students were met by God. For me personally a short movie 'the butterfly circus' was very touching as wel. Shortly said the movie shows whoever you are, God can use you to help or inspire others.
Low
I sprained my ankle during volleyball last sunday in the gymhall in Engavaagen. It hurt quite a lot and was pretty swollen. To have this checked up we went to the hospital on tuesday (2,5 hours drive), where they made en x-ray, the result: Not broken or fractured.
Unfortunately the ankle is still quite painfull, which means I cannot do what I normally would want to do. This means letting go of things, it is quite hard for me not to be able to join everything I want to.
High
The big high is the youthcamp that is running at the base at this moment, 23 youth from all over Nordland are here for the camp 'shockwave'. It is awesome to see the DTS-students step out and to see their enthousiasm while running this camp. Whether they are working in the kitchen, lead worship or games, they are all enthousiastic and working with passion. The goal is clear, show Jesus to the youth of Nordland. The commitment of the DTS-students is great, it is really awesome to see how this gets shown in a camp like this!
